BREAKING NEWS!! US TENSIONS WITH VENEZUELA

August 21, 2025

At approximately 8:10am this morning,

the United States deployed three Aegis Guided Missile Destroyers

to the coastal waters of Venezuela.

The U.S. claims this is in support of

“...counter narcotics efforts,”

according to a Defense Department official speaking to The Associated Press.

In addition, President Trump has ordered around 4,000 Marines

to be deployed throughout Latin America.

In response, President Nicolás Maduro activated 4.5 million militiamen across Venezuela.

Reuters reported that three U.S. Navy destroyers and 4,000 Marines

are expected to arrive at the edge of Venezuela’s coastal waters

within the next 36 hours.

Other sources suggest that 4,500 U.S. service members,

including 2,200 Marines, are aboard one of the three ships now en route.

On August 19th, President Maduro declared,

"No empire will touch the sacred soil of Venezuela."

Shortly after, the United States doubled its reward

for information leading to Maduro’s arrest.

Trump’s actions have extended beyond Venezuela,

as he has reportedly begun pressuring Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum

to be more aggressive with Mexican cartels.

“Washington’s accusing Venezuela of drug trafficking

reveals its lack of credibility and the failure of its policies in the region,”

said Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil.

“While Washington threatens, Venezuela steadily advances

in peace and sovereignty, demonstrating that true effectiveness against crime

is achieved by respecting the independence of its peoples.”

“Every aggressive statement confirms the inability

of imperialism to subdue a free and sovereign people,” Gil added.

Following these tensions, Venezuela’s government has banned

the purchase, sale, and operation of drones in its airspace.

“The empire has gone mad,” Maduro said,

“and has renewed its threats to Venezuela’s peace and tranquility.”
